What is a security deposit?
A security deposit is an amount set by the host to protect them from potential damages, overtime hours or a guest's failure to adhere to rules, unique to each space, during the booking. Upon confirming a booking, you agreed to all rules listed by the host.
- Always shown as a separate amount from the booking fee and appears before you confirm a booking.
- Charged one week before your booking occurs.
- Automatically refunded 72 hours after your booking, unless your host reports damages or issues associated with the booking. You will always be notified if your security deposit is being held, and provided the reasons as to why.
