What do I do after I get a request to book?
You have 24 hours to respond to a booking request before it expires. When you get a booking request, those dates will be blocked on your calendar so that other guests can’t request them until you accept or decline the pending request.
Accept or decline the booking
Accept within 24 hours to avoid impacting your response rate. If you accept, your calendar will be updated automatically. If you decline because dates on your calendar are no longer available, you can update your calendar to avoid receiving other requests for the same dates.
Send an offer
If you’re interested in hosting the guest, but need to adjust the pricing, dates, or check-in and check-out times to accommodate the request, can send an offer.
To send an offer after receiving a request to book:
- Go to your Inbox
- Open the message from the guest
- Click Edit
- Update the dates, times, price, and security deposit as required
- Click Send Offer
Expired reservation requests
If you don’t respond to a request to book within 24 hours, the request will expire and negatively impact your response rate.
