Why was my listing suspended or deactivated?

Your listings may be suspended if you fail to meet the basic requirements overall rating, response rate, accepted bookings, or cancellations. If your listing is suspended, it won’t show up in search results and you won’t receive any new bookings. You’ll have the opportunity to reactivate your listing subject to a review by thisopenspace.

Serious infractions such as sharing direct contact details with guests, asking guests to contact or pay you off-platform, or otherwise violating our terms, including the Off-Platform Policy, could lead to permanent removal from thisopenspace.

Existing bookings

Your upcoming bookings may be impacted by your listing being suspended and may be canceled if you fail to provide high-quality guest experiences or otherwise violate our Off-Platform Policy or Terms of Service.

Previous guest feedback

While your listing is suspended, consider taking some time to make changes to your listing based on the feedback you got from previous guests. To read guest feedback, go to your Account and under Profile click View my profile. You should also familiarize yourself with our basic hosting requirements.

After the suspension period

You may be eligible to reactivate your listing to get new bookings. You can reactivate by emailing us.

After reactivating, your listings could be suspended again if you continue to perform below the basic requirements.

If your listing is not eligible for reactivation, it will be removed from thisopenspace and no longer accessible.

To help make sure guests aren’t contacting you if you're unable to host, and to preserve your response rate, your listing may be deactivated:

  • If you let consecutive booking requests or messages expire
  • If you decline consecutive booking requests over an extended period of time
  • If you consistently take more than 7 days to send an offer for a guest to book

Reactivate your listing

If your listing is temporarily deactivated, you’ll need to email us to reactivate it. Your listing will appear in search results immediately after it has been reactivated.
