What is a cleaning fee?
A cleaning fee is a one-time fee for cleaning the space you book, set by the hosts. It's an additional charge on top of the booking rate when booking a listing. Cleaning fees help hosts account for extra expenses they have getting their listing ready before guests check-in or after guests check-out.
Things to know about cleaning fees:
- On the listing page, you'll see a cleaning fee under Prices. When you submit a booking request, the booking rate and the cleaning fee will be listed separately in the price breakdown.
- The cleaning fee is part of the booking total and is not returned to guests at the end of the booking.
