Some fees are paid in person
Most of the time, the entire cost of the booking will be paid at the time of booking through thisopenspace. However, there are some occasions where you’ll pay other charges in person:
- Additional fees: Some types of places, like restaurants, charge additional fees for things like food and beverage. These fees need to be communicated to you through messaging on thisopenspace and are collected at check-in.
- Local tax: This is usually included in the cost of the booking at the time of booking, but some hosts may be legally required to collect it in person instead. We ask hosts to communicate these additional charges before a guest books. Find out more about how taxes work for guests.
